Bidderosa Nature Reserve, Nuoro Province, Sardinia

The Bidderosa Nature Reserve is located about 20 km north of Orosei in eastern Sardinia.  It’s not enormous, but it contains beautiful coastal pine forests, a lagoon, and some of the most spectacular beaches we’ve ever seen.  Azure water backed by pine trees and low red mountains, and none of the crowds or clutter seen on other beaches nearby.

You can ford a small stream to enter the park for free, but at least once during your visit to the area go ahead and pay the 14 euro entrance fee, and help to keep the area protected.
